I plan on seeing it and it does look to be good although I have little knowledge of the TV series.

I knew nothing of the series,also. You don't need to know it was on TV to understand it. They presently the story very clearly

The filmmakers have turned a Gothic horror drama that I love into a broad, farcical comedy. I'm not interested in seeing such rubbish.
